Wow…what a thought provoking post. Hollywood performers are just people like the rest of us but we have been conditioned to see them through the yes of their characters or their ability to act, and over the years as we have learned about what burdens they carry and their flaws, yes, our perspective has changed, too.
That’s a good point. The responsibility that comes with being in a position of influence on top of being human just like the rest of us is one of the ways I’ve tried to look at things especially when it’s a heart wrenching situation that leaves me feeling let down by any number of my “hero’s.” I’m not implying that their wrong doing is justified at all, but it does compel me to have a bit more compassion for some of them, if that makes sense. But then again, I’ve lost a lot of respect for some who have gone too far in their wrong doing, in exposing their poor character.
