There’s an idea among writers that you have to choose between technology like your laptop and keyboard or the paper and pen. If you try to use both then you end up doing double the work—for instance, writing a rough draft with a pad and paper, and then having to transcribe that into your word processor.

Lucky for all of us, technology has finally caught up to what writers want most, convenience, and the ability to get in a flow state across devices. I have been experimenting with E ink tablets for the better part of five years now and I own a couple of them.

But now there’s a new kid on the block and I was lucky enough to be asked to review the ViWoods AiPaper tablet, an E ink tablet that incorporates AI right into the interface.

If you’re looking for a device to bridge the gap between paper and pen and your computer this might be what you’ve been looking for. 👀
