There’s a funny idea about anger that if you just “let it out,” you’ll be free of its hold over you and can move on, returning to your presumed state of calm and kindness once you let off some steam.

Unfortunately, that isn’t always—or even often—the case.

Season 3 of Invincible (Prime original) wrapped yesterday, and we saw our main super-powered character, Mark, make a fateful decision.

Sometimes people just need to die, and he’s okay with being the one to make that happen.

It was a full circle moment, as at the end of season 2, Mark had a psychological break over killing Angstrom Levy—a nasty piece of work who severly injured his mom and infant brother and nearly got Mark killed.

After seeing his mother’s arm snapped off in a completely unprovoked assault, Mark pummeled Angstrom to death, smashing his skull into pulp.
